The house was a perfect place to spend quality time with our family. Although there was a problem with the air conditioner, Andrea was quick to respond and contacted someone immediately to fix it. She remained accessible until the situation was fixed. We had a wonderful time and plan on coming back in the near future.

We had such a great stay and Andrea’s home in Montross! We booked very last minute and had such a great experience communicating with Andrea. She was the perfect host for a last minute getaway! Lots of cute places in town too - including the coffee shop, brewery and Italian restaurant. Would highly recommend!!

We had a great time & packed a lot into a short stay. The kids especially enjoyed playing in the water at both the public beach & the house’s private beach. The swing overlooking the Bay was a perfect spot to take in the view & to dry off after a swim. We grilled hotdogs & marshmallows for s’mores on the fire pit & enjoyed movies & popcorn in the cozy den. The cottage itself was perfectly decorated, comfortable & outfitted with everything we needed. We topped off our trip with ice cream from Chitterchats & brunch at the Reedville Market. We made some wonderful memories.

Such a beautiful place on a peaceful creek. Me and my family didn't want to leave we were so at peace after our short stay. The covered porch allowed us to enjoy nature out of the hot sun and rain. We enjoyed a couple of great beaches very near by that were almost empty, despite it being a holiday weekend. The pool did seem busy so we did not try it out. We floated around the creek on rafts instead listening to the birds chirp and watching the offsprey catch fish. The house was spotless and already had almost everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend.

Place is as described. Beautiful quiet location. Even though there are homes around its secluded in its own way! House is clean spacious. The back is huge with your own private water area! Def a come back. Host was great, could not ask for anything else

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful Chesapeake Bay beach cottage! The location is absolutely beautiful — just steps from the water with stunning views and the kind of quiet that lets you truly unwind. It’s the perfect hidden gem for anyone looking to relax and recharge. The cottage has so much charm and character. You can tell it’s been part of many meaningful family memories, and we felt lucky to add our own during our visit. We especially loved sitting by the bay and watching the sunrise each morning — pure serenity. And the best part? We saw dolphins in the bay — such a special and unexpected moment that absolutely made our day! If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway full of coastal charm, this is it. We truly enjoyed our time and would absolutely recommend booking it — you’ll be glad you did!

Loved this property so much! It was peaceful and quiet and the views were stunning. We loved seeing the water so close.. The master bedroom was large and spacious. My husband, brother in law and sister in law tried the kayak and loved it! If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is an ideal property.

Andrea's cottage on the Chesapeake Bay is a jewel in the Northern Neck of Virginia! We spent a long weekend here with our pup and we enjoyed every minute of it! The home itself is gorgeous; it was tastefully decorated, free of clutter, featured extremely comfortable furnishings and was equipped with everything we needed. But the piece de resistance was the view of the bay from the sunroom. We sat in that room for hours just gazing at the waves, the ships in the distance and the variety of birds including herons, cranes, seagulls and pelicans. We also saw a dolphin swim by! The view was perfectly stunning! Andrea was also the most gracious host. She reached out to us before we arrived to tell us about a few places to visit and things to do during our stay. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and we felt as if we were being cared for by a family member! Be sure to visit this cottage on the bay; you won't regret it! We booked this beautiful beachfront home for my husband's birthday, and it was perfect. Check-in was seamless, and the breathtaking water view greeted us upon entry. The house was spotless and peaceful, with only the soothing sound of waves. We enjoyed most meals in the sunroom overlooking the water and took advantage of the outdoor seating as the weather warmed. Fawn, a great coffee and breakfast/lunch spot, was just five minutes away. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook fresh seafood from Little River Seafood. Mornings were magical with stunning sunrises, and the nearby beach access was perfect for walks, yoga, and birdwatching. A highlight was Hughlett Point, a hidden nature preserve 30-40 minutes away, leading to a secluded beach with only 11 parking spots.
